The Art of Revenge

Revenge doesn’t always have to be destructive. Sometimes, it can be creative.

For St. Pete brothers Savion and Sincere McGee, fashion is more than what you wear. It’s a way of showcasing what you feel, challenging expectations, and creating something entirely your own. Together, they’ve built Speedy’s Revenge, a fashion brand that refuses to fit into any one category.

The name itself comes from Savion’s nickname while playing sports. “People know my nickname (Speedy) more than my actual name.” But the revenge part carries a deeper meaning.

“The clothes are a way for me to express myself,” Savion explains. “If I’m having a bad day where I may feel anger or sadness, I channel that energy into making clothes instead of being vengeful for how I may feel at the time. It’s a form of therapy.”

That philosophy is reflected in the clothes themselves. The brothers aren’t particularly interested in following fashion’s established rules. Instead, they look for opportunities to break them.

While their designs challenge convention, their creative partnership is built from something familiar: growing up together.

“Growing up, it was hard to separate us,” Sincere recalls. “We always liked the same thing as one another, and we even wear similar sizes.” Their mother introduced them to thrift stores early, where personal style wasn’t defined by labels or price tags, but by what they could discover and make their own.

That closeness continues to influence their work today. Their styles overlap, but they aren’t identical. Sincere describes their relationship as yin and yang, two personalities that can mirror one another just as easily as they can move in opposite directions.

Speedy’s Revenge is not the product of a single creative perspective, but the ongoing conversation between two people who know each other better than almost anyone else.

“We live freely,” they explain, describing an approach that extends beyond fashion into their personalities, mannerisms, and the way they connect with people. That freedom is central to Speedy’s Revenge. Whether combining a tracksuit with a trench coat or transforming difficult emotions into something wearable, the brothers are creating without waiting for permission.

And maybe that’s the real revenge.

Taking whatever life gives you and turning it into something worth seeing. •
