Brenda McMahon Gallery Unveils New Exhibition

Brenda McMahon Gallery Unveils New Exhibition Figurative Oil Painter L.E. Fen this February

New works by oil painter L.E. Fen will be unveiled this February at a new solo exhibition at Gulfport’s Brenda McMahon Gallery. Fen is a figurative oil painter whose work lingers in charged moments—framed by old photographs, film stills, nature, and travel.

An artist reception is planned at the gallery on Friday, February 6th from 6–9 p.m., with live music provided by guitarist Robert Sutherland. The event takes place during the town’s redesigned First Friday Market.

Fen holds an MFA in Poetry and brings a strong narrative sensitivity to his paintings. He works in concentrated bursts using a limited color palette, and his artwork has begun to attract attention from galleries and collectors. Fen’s pieces have been displayed in juried shows at ACA Downtown in New Smyrna, FL, and at Brenda McMahon Gallery’s summer showcase, “We the People.” Outside of the studio, he draws inspiration from surfing, hiking, and traveling abroad. Fen lives and works in St. Petersburg, FL.

In addition to his opening on February 6th, Fen will take place in an artist talk with gallerist Brenda McMahon on Saturday, February 21st, from 6–8 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

Brenda McMahon Gallery is located at 2901 Beach Boulevard S in Gulfport, Florida. For updates on the gallery’s arts and events, follow @brendamcmahongallery on social media or visit and shop the gallery’s homepage at BrendaMcMahonGallery.com
